Wheels- Empowering People

Juba Cycling Club (JCC) is a non-profit cycling club formed at the peak of the COVID-19 2020 pandemic. It was driven by the need to encourage fitness and healthy living while the pandemic devastated our communities.

We are all about bringing sustained change and encouraging more people to cycle to introduce cycling as a sport to young people in our communities and support them to become professionals.

JCC is all about group riding for cyclists of all levels on local roads and destinations outside of Juba and mountain bike rides on local trails. We strive to create a community of local cyclists in a fun, welcoming and safe environment to promote the joy of cycling enthusiastically, and we love doing it.

At JCC, we are committed to giving back to our community by mentoring at-risk youths and introducing them to cycling as an alternative activity to drugs and gangs, using cycling as the vehicle to effect positive change.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire people to ride bikes! We aim to promote, build, and support cycling in all forms, whether you are a leisure cyclist, a racer, or new to the sport. We achieve this through organizing top-class events, fundraising, volunteering, building a top-tier racing team, having fun together, and giving back to our community.

Our Vision

To Create a platform for nurturing young talents and promoting cycling as a means of leading a healthy lifestyle.

Our Values

  • We respect one-another on and off the bike.

  • We are inclusive—embracing and welcoming members of all ages, genders and ethnicities.

  • We are committed to positively impacting on the physical and mental well-being of our members.

  • We lend a helping hand to our fellow-cyclists.

  • We promote and encourage each-other and cycling in all its forms.

  • We follow the rules of the road.

  • We volunteer by giving back to our club and to our community.

“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realise fishing is stupid and boring.”
